Using the Candela GentleMax Pro™ laser, the industry leading hair removal device, we can deliver safe and efficient permanent hair reduction for fine to coarse pigmented hair on all skin tones. Laser hair removal works by selectively targeting hair follicles that are in their growth phase and heating it to the point of thermal destruction. All hair grows in cycles and it takes 12-18 months for all hair follicles to cycle through their individual growth stage. Multiple sessions are necessary to treat the hair in the Anagen (growth stage) for optimal results. Laser hair removal appointments should be 8 weeks apart to optimize treatment results.

A licensed electrologist inserts a tiny probe into each individual hair follicle and applies an electrical current to destroy the germinative cells in each hair follicle. We use a blend method of electrical current for most clients. Blend is a combination of Galvanic current and Thermolysis current. Because there are up to 3200 potentially active hair follicles in a square inch of skin, the process can take multiple treatments over the course of several years. Electrolysis can be performed on all hair colors including gray, blond and red hair. Appointments can be scheduled based on actively growing visible hair (weekly-monthly 30min-4 hour sessions). Hair should be grown out to 1/8 inch or about 3 days of active growth. High volume electrolysis is offered through a partnership between a local physician (who administers injectable numbing at his clinic) and our licensed electrologists. It’s usually best for people who are not a candidate for laser hair removal, have a large area to treat, and are very sensitive to regular electrolysis or for those who live a long distance. Multiple treatments will still be necessary for full results.
